The Opportunity

This is a growing agency, changing things up and adding some key roles – and this is one!

In our newest role, full-time senior content strategist, you will have the opportunity to build your perfect role. We have an idea of what we want and who we want, but we want to hear from you, too. You’ll see that we are collaborative and don’t think we have everything all figured out and set in stone. And you will not hear us say, “This is the way it’s always been done.” You will have the opportunity to play a key role in the overall agency creative strategy and start building a path to a management role.

You are aligned to this role if you:

  • Demonstrate “big idea generation” when it comes to content strategy and ability to create long-term vision for the content that is generated
  • Compellingly communicate a brand’s story and adhere to client business goals such as lead generation, while developing content strategies and content experiences for clients based on their business objectives and their user’s needs
  • Use logic, data, research, and empathy for the user to inform strategy and can back up recommendations with solid reasoning
  • Plan, write and edit text-based content, while directing graphic designers and web designers and developers on the graphical and digital representation of the content
  • Plan content across channels and platforms, such as: websites, blogs, social media, email, digital ads, magazines, brochures, event collateral, and more
  • Manage across teams to ensure content strategy is upheld across channels and platforms, comfortable coaching and directing team members
  • Create content strategy deliverables across life cycles, using qualitative content audits and performing gap analyses to inform the plan
  • Generate content requirements and create editorial calendars, style guides, and more
  • Can envision how content will be presented or distributed in formats other than text-based – standalone graphics, infographics, and video are key
  • Have a firm understanding of user experience (UX) and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Develop creative deliverable strategies that meet the needs of the client, budget, and timeline, along with ability to determine multiple options for the strategy
  • Participate in and help drive agency pitches, scopes, estimates, and presentations

We know there’s no single path to becoming a content strategist, so we look for:

  • A portfolio or link with representation of your work
  • More than 5 years professional experience with content strategy, creation and delivery in an agency setting, B2C or B2B company
  • Experience working in content management systems, marketing automation platforms, email platforms, and social media platforms
